With our experience working with the Switch version of the game, we were tasked with making an enhanced edition to run on the new consoles, I worked on the PS5 and PC versions. This involved adding ray-traced global illumination, reflections, and shadows, as well as Nvidia DLSS to the PC version. This was quite challenging as the PS5 hardware, while an upgrade from the PS4, struggles to achieve 4K and raytracing, especially at higher frame-rates, so we had to make some compromises. Since the lighting was real-time I was also able to add some more effects to the game such as crepuscular rays and colour-changing lights. I also made use of Sony's cloud technology to allow people who upgraded from the PS4 version to transfer their save games to PS5 via the internet.
